Here I am, on my last blog. This semester flew by. I have to say, I’m a lot further along then I was at the beginning of the semester. I really learned a lot this semester when it comes to using this computer. I’m very glad the that I took this class now, and did not wait. I will be able to use so much of what I have learned. The final project was an excellent review tool. Looking back and reflecting helps to embed things in my mind, and I always need that. I’m going to keep this notebook around for a future reference. Thanks for being a great professor.

I am enjoying this last project. I really struggled with it at first, but it’s flowing now. I can see this would be a really fun tool to use in and English class. I am on here now because I want to link my blog to my ebook. So here goes. This is one class that I really hate to see end……I believe that there is so much out there that we as teachers can use to make class more interesting. I hope to spend a little more time developing my technological skills this summer.

This class has helped me so much already with my work in other classes. My group project in Science and Technology 476 is on the history of communications. We are doing a presentation through Wiki. I would have really struggled with that class without this one. Wiki is a really wonderful tool to use for group projects because you can all work on it together without being in the same room. I’ve learned to upload images and change their size, create links to other websites and also link the pages. That class has been a review for this one. I really appreciate the fact that you can go back in the Wiki history and get something that you lost. Looking forward to my last project here……

I am really enjoying the group project. I have learned about so many great websites to create photo stories and slideshows with. I can’t wait till spring break when I will actually have the time to really get creative with all these new discoveries. I really feel that I have learned a lot in this class. Sometimes I wish I didn’t have such a full class load so that I could actually spend more time exploring and practicing the use of these new tools. My favorites so far are animato, one true media and roxio.

Hey, I’m having a lot of fun with the latest assignment. I used Anamato, Imageloop and onetruemedia to make some slide shows yesterday. It was a lot of fun. Take a look. The last one is my father who passed away 2 years ago. The wedding is my baby sisters. She’s 16 years younger than me. I wish I wasn’t so busy with other classes, I could really enjoy learning more about this.

Hey, I love these new tools and I can see how they would be very valuable to use in a high school classroom. When I give my students group assignments there is a much greater chance that they will get them done when they do not have to depend on some sort of transportation to get together.(being that half of them do not have a drivers license) This will also be very helpful for me during my college career. It’s a lot better than texting or always having to drive back to campus in an evening or on the weekend. I really like pirate pad because it’s live and you can interact so easily.

I feel the midterm was really good for me. I did a lot of review and it refreshed my memory. I was very frustrated when I realized I knew some of the answers I missed. I don’t know what happened. But anyways, I really feel I’m learning a lot. This class has been very beneficial. I loved doing the mixit.com.today. My daughter loves to scrapbook, I’m going to recommend it to her. I can’t wait to see what we do next………..

I wish all my classes were as useful to my future career as this one. I’m really enjoying doing my module 2 assignment. I’m using Prezi and it’s a blast! I’m doing my presentation on Romania. My husband has been there 3 times on a missions trip and I’ve been there once. I really wanted to understand the country better, so I decided to do my presentation on it. I spent some time researching and found that the country has had a very difficult history.I am a little frustrated though, I haven’t been able to create a hyperlink to a video that I want to use. It’s been real frustrating. I’ve been able to get to Youtube, but not the particuliar video. Anyways, I wish all my classes were this enjoyable. I guess I enjoy it so much because I am so behind in technology and it is all new to me.

I really enjoyed Prezi.com. That was so much fun and it could be used as a wonderful tool to teach with. I was disappointed to find out that the word docs do not print out in the same format. They print out really tiny. I am thinking about doing my module using Prezi. Still lov’n this class.

I just backed up a lot of my important files using Word docs. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I just kept procrastinating. It gives me peace of mind to know that my important documents are now safe and accessible anywhere. I love the new shortcuts we are using,but I can see it’s hard to break old habits. I have to force myself not to do it the old way and I’m not confident at all. I’m always afraid I’m going to do something messy to my documents. I am trying though and have used some of them while writing papers this week.
